Hiring, reimagined from first principles.
A short set of convictions that shape everything we build.
1. The resume is dead. The work is alive.
A resume is a lossy, self-reported summary written to pass filters. The work — code, reviews, decisions, trajectory — is the real thing. We optimize for reading the work.
2. AI flooded the top of the funnel. So we rebuilt the funnel.
When anyone can generate a perfect-looking application, screening on presentation is a losing game. The advantage moves to whoever can extract genuine signal from noise. That’s the whole product.
3. Talent is everywhere. Pedigree is a proxy — and a bad one.
Some of the best engineers never worked at a brand-name company, have mostly private GitHub, or switched careers at 30. We normalize for company tier and blend signals so depth shows up regardless of where it came from.
4. Scores you can see are scores you’ll game.
We keep the match methodology opaque to candidates on purpose. Candidates get honest prompts to strengthen their profile — never a leaderboard to optimize. Signal integrity is non-negotiable.
5. Automated ranking demands accountability.
Any system that ranks people can encode bias. We log every automated decision, monitor for demographic correlation, and treat auditability as a first-class requirement, not an afterthought.
6. The loop is the moat.
Every interview, offer, and retention outcome teaches the system which signals actually predict great hires. Hiring should get smarter with every hire — ours does.
If this resonates, come build the future of hiring with us — as a candidate or a team that hires.
